Janis and Larry Frey have always had a passion for food. Once their kids moved out of the house, Janis and Larry moved to Washington and decided to take their love of food to the next step. Janis is a chef that graduated from the Culinary Program at the Art Institute of Seattle and Larry became a certified BBQ judge and earned his BBS (Bachelor of BBQ Science) from the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association - something he’s more proud of than his actual college degree. After doing a lot of grilling, the husband/wife team found that keeping track of many different spice bottles became a hassle, so they created a seasoning mix that works with anything that could be put on the grill - and many other foods as well. Eventually, after high demand - and after moving back to California to be with their twin grandkids - the Freys began selling their famous seasoning mix, now named Savor, to the public. The Freys note that “Wherever you use salt, Savor makes it better.” We wish Janis and Larry the very best as they send Savor out to hungry customers.
