What Is Catering Insurance?

Insurance for caterers is a safety net of coverages designed to protect you from the costs of expensive claims that caterers commonly face. This includes:

  • Food poisoning
  • Allergic reactions
  • Third-party property damage
  • Stolen or damaged equipment

Without liability insurance, catering businesses like yours can be forced to pay completely out of pocket for expensive claims, costing thousands—or in some cases, tens of thousands—of dollars.

Catering insurance is the best way for you to proactively shield your finances from claims, giving you the peace of mind you need to run and grow your business.

What Kind of Insurance Does a Caterer Need?

A caterer needs insurance that protects them from the cost of claims they’re most likely to face as a result of their business operations, including the following:

Businesses that handle or cook food face a unique set of risks. Catering insurance can give your business the extra protection it needs to avoid unnecessary financial stress.

How Much Does Catering Operation Insurance Cost?

Catering insurance costs start at $25.92 per month or $299 per year. This includes limits of $2,000,000 in general and product liability insurance as well as $10,000 in tools and equipment coverage.

You can include additional coverage options and increased coverage limits in your catering liability insurance policy at an extra cost. Protect your business your way and never pay for more than you need.
