FLIP is proud to sponsor the Farmers Market Coalition’s 22nd annual National Farmers Market Week.
Taking place August 1–7, National Farmers Market Week (NFMW) celebrates the importance of farmers markets for local farmers and consumers. It’s a great opportunity for farmers market organizers and vendors to build awareness for their businesses and strengthen their communities, especially in the wake of a global pandemic.
If your local farmers market is open for business, we at FLIP encourage you to consider how you can get involved in this year’s NFMW and support your local market.
HOW CAN I CELEBRATE NATIONAL FARMERS MARKET WEEK?
As a farmers market organizer or vendor, there are many things you can do to support NFMW, from generating awareness within your community to running a special event specifically for the week. Planning something special can be overwhelming, though. That’s why the Farmers Market Coalition has created a 2021 toolkit full of useful marketing advice on how to promote the week.
Inside the toolkit, you’ll find a variety of helpful materials, including templates for social media posts, hashtags, copy points, branded images, and more. No matter how you decide to raise awareness, the important thing is you are encouraging your community to get involved in your local farmers market.
ABOUT FARMERS MARKET COALITION
The Farmers Market Coalition (FMC) is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening farmers markets, consumers, and their communities across the United States. As such, they serve as a hub and resource center for farmers market organizers and vendors alike.
From their website, you can access information and advice on running a farmers market, network with other individuals in the industry, and participate in programs designed to help you grow your business. You can also become a member of the coalition, donate to help the organization grow, and sign up for their monthly newsletter for industry-related updates.
As leaders in the liability insurance industry, FLIP has helped thousands of farmers markets and their vendors protect themselves from the financial repercussions of liability claims by providing them with high-quality, affordable liability insurance. As public, community-centered events, farmers markets face a unique set of risks that could be financially devastating should an accident occur.
With FLIP, you can create a customized insurance plan in less than ten minutes to get the protection you need. We also offer partnership programs for event organizers looking to help their vendors find coverage.
